This
class is for individuals with watercolor experience. Each session, the
instructor will break down new and exciting techniques of watercolors in a
relaxing environment with plenty of hands-on instruction. Watercolor artist,
Jayne Conte, combines years of experience and a passion for art in her class
and helps painters create true works of art. Each week the class will dive into
a new painting--Jayne demonstrating while the class follows suit; or, students
can work on personal pieces. A list of all materials will be emailed to you a few weeks before the program.
Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that incorporates breathing exercises and postures that are performed both in a chair and on the ground using the chair for support. This class is great for anybody and can be modified for varying abilities. Chair yoga can increase your flexibility, strength, and reduce stress and joint strain. Best of all, chair yoga can be done anywhere you can find a place to sit!

Grades K and up. Children attend program independently, but a parent/caregiver must remain in the building.

Play against friends and new opponents at our Open Chess Night! Teens will have a chance to play games against other attendees. Pizza will be served! Open to grades 7-12. Registration required.
*Please note that participants should already know how to play chess. This isn't a class, but a chance for teens to play against someone new!*
Math in Motion is an outdoor play program that supports the development of math skills in kindergarten and beyond. Through a series of active games, songs, and finger-plays, children will strengthen their number sense and identify the math that surrounds them in our three-dimensional world. Caregivers will also get suggestions for infusing math talk into home routines and play. Weather permitting. In case of bad weather, class will be rescheduled.

Every Thursday when school is in session, we’ll meet in the Community Room for games, popcorn, and iced tea. There will be a collection of board games, as well as the Nintendo Switch. Pop in after school to kick back and relax with friends! Open to grades 7-12.

This event is for people who do not know how to play Mah Jongg and would like to learn. This is a beginner ONLY class. We only have 12 spaces. You must attend ALL 6 sessions to learn. Registrants are required to purchase the 2024 National Mah Jongg Card.
Come join us in the Community Room to play your game of choice! Mah Jongg, Canasta or something else! We ask that you register for this event. Walk-ins are welcome too! Most people come and play with their pre-existing groups. Registering ensures that you will be notified ahead of time in the event of a library closing or cancellation.
